What is light therapy / phototherapy?
Light therapy is exposure to daylight or lighting similar in composition to daylight, using full-spectrum light systems for a prescribed amount of time.
How does SunSauna’s light system work?
An overhead lightbox delivers more than 10,000 lux of full-spectrum neodymium light. The system is designed to reproduce beneficial daylight qualities while filtering out harmful UV rays.
What is far-infrared heat?
Far-infrared is radiant warmth absorbed directly by the body. SunSauna’s IntelliHeat panels combine with the light system to provide near, mid and far infrared exposure with even heat dispersion.
Are there side effects or contraindications?
People who are pregnant, take photosensitizing medication, have light-sensitive conditions or manage other health concerns should speak with a qualified healthcare professional before beginning light or heat therapy.
How difficult is installation?
SunSauna’s easy-clip system is designed for simple assembly. Most models connect to a standard 120V outlet; the NOVA 300 and NOVA 400 have additional electrical requirements listed in their specifications.
Can I use SunSauna with yoga or other activities?
Sauna warmth can be incorporated into a broader wellness routine, but always follow safe-use guidance, stay hydrated and choose a model with enough space for the activity.
